OVERCOMING NEGATIVITY - The Burden of “I CAN‘T". (Topnotch Editorial)

OVERCOMING NEGATIVITY - The Burden of “I CAN‘T".

Youths today live in a dispensation where there are no excuse for failure - excuses like:
"My parents are poor,
I don’t have connections,
I attended a polytechnic,
I failed jamb" and so on to mention.

The word "NEGATIVITY"  is a pessimistic attitude  that always expects the worst. It is an habitual scepticism and disagreeable tendency to deny , oppose, resist  suggestions and command.

Life will always throw lemonades at you; what you do with it, is what matters; therefore, you are a function and product of your thoughts.

NEGATIVITY, INBORN OR ACQUIRED?
Negativity is an illusion and created by a limited mind to protect  and defend itself. It is cannibalistic in nature, the more you feed it, the bigger and stronger it grows.

WHAT DOES NEGATIVITY DO?
Negativity as well as self doubt  makes one fail to achieve a targeted dream and make one feel inferior to his/her goals.

OVERCOMING NEGATIVITY;
 “I CAN” VS “I CAN’T

There will always be challenging situations; you don’t have to be a problem  to the situation, instead be a solution. You don’t prepare for war in the time of war, be proactive for all tasks. Stay away from negative people. Adhere to what you know and work on what you don’t know. Your mindset before a situation is your greatest weapon. Your own effort and power can only get you so far.

No, it’s never hopeless, and yes, you are strong enough to get through difficulties in life because difficulties give us the opportunity to experience the faithfulness of God.

Remember, he that compares himself with another person is not wise.

Life has knocked me down couple of times with the word “NO” but that doesn’t give me the mindset that I can’t do it, it simply means, I can’t do it with them.

What you think about your situations, your abilities; your chances, will impact  your achievements; therefore, appreciate your self,
bury your fears,
avoid comparing yourself to others,
eliminate self doubt,
Stay humble and grateful,
be confident,
contribute constructively,
believe in yourself,
show courage and resilience.

As each day passes by, always know that you are loved and special and it is impossible to be perfect.

CHALLENGE; Write down every negative thought you struggle with on a piece of paper and tear it up (To expect defeat is nine tenths of defeat itself)

Success start from having a positive mindset, self belief and a "can do" spirit.

Choose those who you associate yourself with, select the right people, connect with good people.

Intimidate fear and inspire success, don’t give up, don’t be discouraged, prepare solutions and never be distracted by NEGATIVITY.
