MAN O'WAR(FUNAAB COMMAND) HOLDS PRE-NYSC CAMP TRAINING FOR FINALISTS

     The Man o'war Funaab command  organized a 3-day pre-NYSC training for final year students of FUNAAB  in preparation for the NYSC camp.

    The event which took place at the man o'war base began with the arrival of participants and gyration afterwards.

    The event continued  with  the paramilitary group and the participants taking an endurance trek from the school to camp and back to school again. The participants were taken through gadget training in which they have to use tools  like tension rope, Jacob's ladder, Burma bridge, Hand transverse, balance beam, six feet wall and barbed wire crawling.

    The participants had to go through each obstacles respectively. After the gadgets training, the paramilitary group and the participants attended a lecture themed: "Patriotism and the Youth; Challenges of Nation building". The lecturer: Professor Olayanju, the deputy dean of student affairs of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta defined patriotism as love for one's country and the desire to develop it.
   
    He also enjoined the participants to be patriotic and find ways to move the country forward even though the country isn't doing well. He concluded the lecture by beseeching the participants to develop their minds and spirits and to be good citizens of the nation.

   
The participants later went to the man o'war base to do some drilling.
